Congrats Vinnie. Always happy to see new pictures and hear unique perspectives. I agree about the base. It's super light compared to Scorpion himself but it seems sturdy enough to me. The inclusion of lights and ac adapter makes up for this though IMO.

What's the chance the base will bow over time due to the hollow inside and the super heavy scorpion?

Fully happy with mine. Man you gatta see this in person to appreciate it. It's super impressive, the yellow is darker in person. Don't know why it shows up lighter in pics. The statue itself is super heavy, feels totally solid. The base on the other hand feels like a hallow drumb, which kinda makes sense considering the wiring going through it. The stitch quality is fantastic, there's actually a little bit of worn/weatherd look to the fabric which is hard to pick up in pictures, but it's there. I haven't done anything to this statue, took it out of the box, and assembled it and think it looks sweet as is. I do find the statue has a little bit of a forward lean to it, not sure if it's the statue of the base. It's very slight though. The blood splatter looks sick, the light up feature works great and gives a really sinister effect in person. Wifey hates everything about mortal kombat and even she said wow that looks cool when she walked in the room....then told me to go change the babies diaper. The skin tone as usual looks dam real, very subtle blue veining really makes his arms eerily life like, right down to the cuticles in his nails. 2.5 years for this to get over here (see what I did there), I say it was worth the wait. This piece is easily in my top 10 favourite statues in my collection.

Thanks to Vinnie and everyone for your thoughts. Looking forward to how your opinion holds up over time.

If the base just has something in the middle connecting from top to bottom it should be plenty sturdy to last holding the statue even if the rest is totally hollowed out.

Total dichotomy here. Thanks for your initial thoughts. Excited for a video review. Congratulations on both bundles of joy.
