Best (& Worst) Way to Store Statues & Figures? Climate Controlled, Non-CC, etc

Based on the experiences of those here who either know from trial & error as well as those who were advised by the companies themselves what can painted polystone statues/figures & plastic figures (such as hot toys, enterbay, etc) take in terms of storage. Can they withstand being stored in a legit storage unit that is not climate controlled. Is freezing temps the enemy, hot & humid temps, or both?

Anyone know of or hear about any particular pieces that are temp/climate sensitive?

Share.

I know that extreme heat can warp resins and vinyl figures/statues.

Long term exposure to moisture and water can damage the paint on statues.

Statues in a smoking room usually results in damage to paints and leaves a film of nicotine/yellowing. Fabrics on statues will stain and most likely be impossible to clean.

Long term exposure to sunlight will ruin the paints on all statues.
