I agree. And I actually enjoyed it even more during the second time.

Rogue One 9/10 Really enjoyed the war movie feel to the movie. Was expecting the first hour to be really slow based on comments but it didn't seem that way to me. Liked it better the TFA. My wife didn't like it as much as me, she prefers Star Trek as it is "cleaner" and shows a better future where Star Wars is "dirtier" and is about a universe at war. She of course is wrong, SW is better.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace - 7.5/10

Other than the comedy aspect of Jar Jar, I've never understood the hate for Phantom Menace. The story is solid and feels very much like a Star Wars movie. The other big complaint is that it's political, but those politics are showing Palpatine's rise to power that will lead to the formation of the Galactic Empire. It's also the first time we're shown Jedi in their prime and how complex the world of Star Wars is with planets like Coruscant and cities like Otoh Gunga. Say what you will about Jar Jar, but the Gungans are a very fitting species in Star Wars. Say what you will about Jar Jar, but it's infinitely more believable that an advanced amphibious military could take on a droid army (and still lose) than it is that a species of small teddy bears could take down the Empire. Darth Maul is near the top of everyone's favorite Star Wars villains list and you're lying if you weren't blown away watching him take on Qui Gon and Obi Wan at the same time. The Phantom Menace introduces us to the main hero and villain of all 6 original films and shows a more interesting side of Star Wars compared to the original trilogy. I think The Phantom Menace is an underrated film and it remains one of my favorite Star Wars movies.

the secret life of walter mitty - 9/10

I LOVE this movie, but the couple friends I know who have seen it didn't like it at all. I guess it just either really strikes a chord with you or it doesn't. imo it was the perfect movie to watch at the beginning of the year, get out of you comfort zone and take some chances - make this year a great one

harry and the hendersons - 6.5/10

not as terrible as I was expecting, but not short of nutty 80's family movie hijinks. this was the first movie that made me cry when I was a kid and my mom has tried giving it to me as a Christmas present for like the last 6 years but I keep "forgetting" to take it home. my dad finally had enough this year and tore the plastic wrap off and popped it in. rick baker creature effects never disappoint

Star Wars: Rogue One 9/10 story fits in almost seamlessly to the movies that came before it. Loved that the droid was the comic relief.
