I'll admit I've been away from comics for awhile. What caused Green Arrow to reboot?

Well as i get it, It's an Aftermath of Blackest Night and James Robinson's run on JLA.. Green arrow being one of the folks who wore a black lantern ring.
It's one of the Books with the Brightest Day tag.. all of these Started with No. 1's.. Birds of prey. Justice League: Generation lost
It's Ok, nothing awesome so far, I picked up #1 solely for it's cover ( Mauro Cascioli ) and decided to give the book 5 issues to get me.
There's apparently, a big forest sprung out of nowhere in the city and Green Arrow is like a modern day Robin in an actual forest this time.. ( no they ain't calling it sherewood ) .. One of the instructions from the white ring in the main series relates to this forest.. think it's to do with Martian manhunter..
