So NBC, CBS AND UPN will air the game in ny?

"local TV affiliates in the Boston, Manchester, N.H., and New York areas who were already set to simulcast the game under NFL policy will still air it."

meh ... I would like to think the game will be close but have reason to believe it won't be another Patriots blowout. The chance of a close game will have me checking in on the game at least so it is good news that it will be on TV

It's cool that the NFL has decided to allow the simulcast, but I wonder why it needs to be on 2 or three addtional channels (rather than just one)? It's not like they'll bring in more viewers that way...

I don't think that's the reason since NBC usually only does Sunday Night Football. CBS has the AFC and Fox has the NFC.

It's not a big deal to me - I'm just curious.

NBC has the some of the same crew for announcers that the NFL network has (except Gumble)

CBS has AFC... NBC has to be in with NFL network some how...

either way it's great that people will get to see it on their station of choice

I paid the extra for the NFL Network. I wasn't missing this game. 8:15 kickoff!
