This thread should be used to inform folks of sales on sets. I just started with the DC sets and they're mega pricey. I currently have my eye on this set:
http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Batman-Ar...Breakout-10937
Unfortunately, I don't want to shell out $160 + shipping on it. XD It's not in stores from what I've noticed either.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

I would normally say try ebay or wait for TRU to have a lego sale, but ebay prices for this set are pretty much retail and I've never even seen this set at my local TRU....so....I'm kinda stumped. I will keep an eye out though and post it here if I come across a good deal.

I'm relatively new to collecting Lego also but they are really addictive.
You should post some pics of your builds Rod! I'd love to see the new sets and hear your impressions.

Last time I bought a couple of them I got the judge in the wig and some kind of space trooper. I did just buy the Medusa from the newest series off ebay.

asher and i went on a spree tonight. i was able to score all 3 Man of Steel sets (for ashers bday) at TRU and bought a handful of minifigs while asher was at baseball practice. my intention is to save them for the boys as after school gifts, but, harder than it sounds. we found them at target, but, there were only maybe 20 out of the whole case, no gold. pave, the medusa is really the only one i want from this series. asher wanted the baseball player and we got him (searched). ill check the others once asher is in bed. nothing at the walmart we checked and another target. i still have 1 more target to check tomorrow before school.
yes, Rod has a new but budding collection. surprised he hasn't gone "loco" for them yet. only thing about Legos is that they're f'n expensive. the lowest tier sets are now $15 after tax.
