When he first meets Cap, Sam mentioned he did two tours in Afghanistan. While it varies, US military tours were usually 12 to 15 months. So Sam could have easily been at war for over 2 years even excluding any other prior deployments he may have had before this.

The fact that he was no longer in active service means he left for a reason.

You are right. I forgot Sam has also served and that's partly why he and Steve met in the first place.

So, referring back to the initial dispute, should Falcon have not been given the shield? I don't have a problem with either he or Bucky taking it, honestly.

The top 3 moments of this movie were:

1. Thanos headbutting Captain Marvel and she just took it.

2. Scarlet Witch kicking his butt. I thought she was going to kill him for sure.

3. Cap picking up the hammer

People seems to have forgotten or neglect to appreciate that it was the Hulk who brought back the "dusted". He may not have had a rematch with Thanos, but saving hundreds of trillions of living beings has got to count for something.

Almost everyone who survived the snap had their moment or significant contribution in the film.

Agreed, which is why I'm seeing it again this weekend. Taking the wife this time. I call that my "question and answer session".

I told people that Scarlet Witch is a force far beyond what we've seen. Endgame was the first time I thought she really got to show her capacity.

The truth of the matter is that the Scarlet Witch in the comics is still many times more powerful than even what we've seen in Endgame.

She might have been able to undo the snap limited to Earth without any of the Infinity Stones.
