Joker 9/10
Joker is as much of a villain as anyone whoever stood against social injustice in a violante way.

Shin Godzilla 7/10
While the movie lacks the polished CGI of western films, Shin Godzilla's take on a tired formula injects new life in to the franchise. Harkening back to the original Gojira (including use of the original soundtrack in part with new music themes) use of political themes of nuclear testing, Shin Godzilla takes its punches at modern Japanese bureaucracy mirroring governmental bureaucratic gridlock that occurred during the real-world Fukashima disaster.

After seeing it a second time last night, I'm going to up my score to 9.5/10.

The VVitch - 6/10
Unsettling period piece that lingers well after it’s conclusion. I’m generally not into films where the characters turn against one another but there’s enough supernatural subtext pushing the narrative to keep it thought provoking.

One of the guys I trust and respect most with regard to horror movies William Paquet also really thought this one was disturbing and creepy. Maybe because of that I had really high expectations but I didn't see it the same way. It is decent though.

Ghost Story 7.5/10
Still scary to me, mostly because I remember it scaring me as a kid watching it on HBO when I wasn't supposed to. Patricia Krige has always been creepy.
