Not a good design.

1) I understand why they might have changed his skin tone to differentiate him from Birdie, but I think the darker tone worked much better to contrast the white outfit.

Now it's just pale skin on a white outfit, doesn't look good.

2) I know it's common to do a big ugly brute, but man this guy is ugly. I think that's his theme though, given he's like a monster. It just feels so generic for the brute to be appalling to look at.

In contrast, Potemkin from the Guilty Gear series is a brute type that actually deviates from the typical ugly brute appearance.

Street Fighter proportions are known for being over exaggerated, but this is so exaggerated that it looks atrocious. I think just his extreme height alone would have been an awesome look without the extreme bulk.

His head is so small in comparison to the body, it's so weird and not in a good way.


3) Gameplay looks OK from what I've seen in the trailer. I've analyzed it at least 20 times and he does have some intriguing stuff. Some of the animations look pretty bad though.

The Critical Art and gun punch attack in particular look off. He's hitting air instead of actually hitting Ed.

Honestly, they should have just done Haggar. Not a fan of the character design at all. Would not buy a statue of him.

I've actually been thinking the opposite, SFV newcomers designs are top notch for me, much better than SF4's.
Each one of them screams personality, and I really don't get the FANG hate, he's awesome, funny and different.
Same for Abigail, you will be controlling half of the game screen with your pad, how is that not awesome?

Really, they could release a game with just Ryu and Akuma variants and I swear people would be happy with it
