Hmmmm?
I haven't seen Scott pilgrim yet, but from the rave reviews I've heard so far, it may be a food move to have him as the guy who will run the show!

so it's going to be a comedy based on the Irredeemable Ant-Man character? I hope it's the original and I hope the Wasp is in it. I see him as a tech genious like Mr. Fantastic and Iron Man so lots of good possiblities if they go that route.

Hmmm....I wonder if Edgar is "Wright" for this movie.

I think he's right for any movie. He's a brilliant director. I'm actually really stoked for this one.

I'm probably in the minority but I really hope this film doesn't happen. I like the character of Ant-Man but don't feel he can carry a film on his own.
I think for the greater good of The Avengers film arc Hank Pym should be introduced in Iron Man 3 and move into a supporting role in the next Avengers film. I also think he would be a great addition to another Hulk film.
With Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor and Captain America I feel Marvel has generated a nice momentum. I'd hate to see it stagnated by independent films of C-list Avengers. That said if they were to mix these types of films in and it took nothing away from getting sequels to the main 4 players produced and/or new Avengers films I'd be for it.

That's what they are going for. The core Marvel characters are going to get their sequels with big budgets no matter what. But characters like Ant-Man and Dr. Strange are likely to get comparatively smaller budget movies (as Kevin Feige indicated in the past), so their performance will not necessarily affect the Avengers sequels either.

I'd love to see an Ant-Man movie, and he can slowly be integrated into the Avengers series. The thing I don't like, is the talk about EW portraying Hank Pym during the 60's and Scott Lang being the modern Ant-Man. I'd much rather they focus on integrating Pym into the universe and either skip Lang or keep him a supporting player ala Rhodey in the IM movies. I could see this working out, with all of Pym's alter egos, The Wasp, and Scott Lang plus S.H.I.E.L.D., sounds like he's got his supporting cast. Have Ultron be developed in his movies, then bring in the Avengers to help clean up that mess. I think there are some definite possibilities, not to mention the character's historic importance, and let's not forget he's in the cartoon.
