Their Argonath promo pic is a straight theft of Weta's old piece. Not sure if that is the only one, but nothing else I see from them screams "legitimate company" either.

Oh yeahhh. They are super similar. But, and you could be 100% right, but to be fair to them, the Argonath is a static image. The pieces dont move, so there is really only one vantage point to make a piece. That of them rowing up on it/through it. But I'm totally with you that I want to see them pump out some pieces of quality and on a respectable time table before I toss tons of money at them.

Weta already put out a notice I believe. They even have a second version coming out and it is quite different. It's not that hard to do your own and not steal someone else's, but that's how P1 and some other companies started too so it's not surprising.

They didn't copy existing statues, they copied work done by artists, as well as underpaying artists they did actually pay. Now they just screw around the factory owners. A lot of the more reputable ones won't even do P1 pieces anymore, which is probably why their quality dropped off on some pieces.
