I won't be pre-ordering anything from Prime 1 in the future because of this. If they're just going to cancel pieces without warning, I can't waste my time on their apathy towards their customers. In my mind, putting something up for pre-order is a commitment that something very close to the prototype, will be delivered.
Maybe other companies cancel pieces all the time but this was my first experience with a cancelation. Somehow this feels like a croud funded campaign rather than a company with a product. But even with a goFundMe the contributor gets more feedback than "oh yeah its canceled."
Status updates for poorly performing pieces would definitely help collectors plan better I think, but as always, it's a lack of communication that makes it harder to swallow. This experience has left a very sour taste in my mouth towards a company I used to hold in high regard.

Don’t blame you for feeling that way. I was so bitter when they cancelled nightwing in like a day after the reveal and that one didn’t even go on PO. I can’t imagine how bitter ppl who looked forward to this would feel.

I’m thinking this will occur more and more in the future.
Previously they could bank on a large chunk of the regulars to be distributed worldwide via Sideshow to local distributors like Popcultcha/Ikon’s here in Australia.
Given the ‘age’ of the preorder was this piece made available via Sideshow? As I don’t see it on Popcultcha, but they could’ve removed it already.

I really hope P1 and SS sort things out and that they haven’t turned back on each other entirely.

I'm still disappointed that they cancelled the ID4 colonist Alien.

I am not surprised as this version of Aquaman was too outside the box.

It's a fantastic statue and a great version of Aquaman but this was always going to happen when Prime 1 flooded the market with so many versions and so many pre-orders all at once, the actual sales base of people who buy high end collectables isn't huge so this was bound to happen.
There's a lot of Prime 1 stuff i want and this was one of them, as well as the Injustice Black Manta...but with weak EX pieces there was no reason to PO and i can only have so many statues on PO at a time and that's the same for a lot of people and i don't think Prime 1 get that...so pieces liek thsi don't get the PO numbers they need.
The bigger issue is Prime 1 not putting out statements that these pieces are not going to be produced. People who have these pieces on payment plans have money sitting with themselves or Sideshow and if a piece is not being made then they should be made aware and refunded asap.

Do you know the cancel piece are with Sideshow as distributor who take Prime1 big junk of profit. Selling by themself is more profitable for them.
