She looks good but correct me if I'm wrong, she doesn't really fit in with the same era as all the other figures. All the rest are based on 90s looks / costumes and this appears to be the only one from the more modern era?

Yes. During the show they mentioned that they love the 90s and plan to do most of their pieces around that era. But there are outliers. Magik gained most of her general popularity in the modern era, so that's the look they went with for her.

Hopefully they will consider doing this with other characters... and even alternate sculpts of ones they have already done, but in different eras.

How old is the character supposed to be in the 90’s versus now?

It's complicated. She was a child and then got her age sped up so that she was a teenager in the 80s and part of the New Mutants. She then got de-aged and back to being 7 years old which is what she would have been in the 90s era. She then died of the Legacy virus and was out of the comics for a while. She then came back to life and was an adult again and has been fairly prominent in the X-Men series since. Not really sure how that happened other than magic and stuff... Complicated as I say.

There was never going to be an ideal costume choice for Magik since she was either a child or dead during the Blue/Gold era. She probably works better as a standalone piece.

Is Magik only available exclusively on IS website? Both retailers that carries all the IS stuff in my country does not have her listed, yet Havok is on for pre-order, also I don't see her on Sideshow.

This is a really cool sculpt! I would jump on this if it was in a scale I collected (1:5, 1:6, 1:4). Love the action in it, the pose, and the base.
