Aside from that, they seem to be well connected, since we've seen them with Schwarzenegger and they claim to be collaborating with John Howe.

Still, nothing wrong with a wait-and-see approach.
OH...now I think I know who these guys are.

If I'm remembering right, that Spock seemed to look OK/not bad/pretty good- but the price was

Yep. Their first announced piece, T-800 on Fat Boy, was an absolute shocker once they revealed the price. That's why we'd better not get our hopes up.

Got to pay for those licensing fees somehow. Still, some collectors have been waiting FOREVER for this so some will pay the money.

Hell, Sideshow is carrying the Spock.

I guess I don't have any cause to criticize their pricing as that's even less than what SSC is charging for the similarly scaled, similarly simplistic Lynda Carter from P1...and I was ultimately willing to preorder that one, after all my feeble, initial protestations.

Granted he was a weathered man in his sixties versus a nubile female in her twenties, but the finish/texturing of the sculpt on the Spock (both skin and costume) strikes me as not being quite as polished as the prototype for the P1 figure.
Or maybe it's just my biased eyes.

That's my concern. While the IPs and what they have planned are amazing.. I'm still waiting for that T2 Arnie on bike to see what the production looks like. For the prices they are charging, they need to be perfect.

I think what's most exciting is that, if this company genuinely got the license to make Burton Batman movie statues, then it stands to reason some of the more well known players (Queen Studios, Prime 1) might not be too far behind.

Unless the biggest sticking point for Nicholson has been the licensing fee. If they get over that by selling it for crazy prices, I'm not sure that's good news going forward.

Of course I'll wait until Spock and/or T-800 on bike arrive in collector's hands. If they nail them, my money will be theirs. Burton's Batman pieces are my Holy Grail.
