I'm not suggesting any kind of boycott, anything like that. I'm just saying that Sideshow makes what they know will sell. Every now and then they throw out a little something different.....but this is becoming rare.
And Sideshow are not the only culprits here, nearly EVERY mainstream producer, boutique or otherwise is serving the same menu......it is what it is.
This is why my ordering has slowed down, massively.
On the plus side, this has given me an opportunity to be hyper selective on what I do buy. And I have more income to spend on my other interests......so, actually, not a bad situation.

Hmm, nobody knows but from what I collect is all comic related 1:4 scale stuff and we always ask for new characters and then they make them but they take a long time to sell out and people aren’t crazy about em. Examples of
the Doctor Strange Maquette (still in stock the most underrated statue I’ve ever come across, love it!)
Then there’s the Mr Freeze still in stock, the only licensed 1:4 Freeze that I know of.
Scarecrow still in stock
There’s the Taskmaster with a low edition size and also still has the EXs available, (the depth on it at 25 inches though may be whats keeping people from ordering it.)
But then meanwhile all the Harley, Batman, Wolverine, Spider-Man they do all sell better. So they have reason to believe that an ES 500 Nightcrawler won’t even sell as quickly as a 2,500 ES Wolverine. I don’t know.

True, bane was received well but they haven't sold out of his ex yet, never mind the reg. Can't blame them for not taking risks, when it might mean financial disaster

Price matters. When you get into $600+ statues, it’s going to take longer to sell. If the statues price was back in the old days, those statues would had been sold out by now.

It's happening with alot of statues tho, they are kept in stock for a long time. It also seems SS is padding it a bit to last a bit longer for folks who are just coming in. Some users just have other priorities and eventually get to them, they just have a yearly limit.
Also what is frustrating with fan's, who complain SS isn't doing other characters, then don't support the smaller characters. All you mentioned Dr Strange, Mr Freeze, Scarecrow, and Taskmaster (I REALLY want him), they are awesome statues.
I got/love Freeze/Scarecrow, both EX sold out, the regulars might take till end of year or next year to sell out which isn't bad. Hoping that its enough to make more rogues.
Main thing to remember, Batman/Wolverine and the other rehashes keep the lights on. Which I understand, tho i still hope even if Low ES's the others get made inbetween them.

Bane is amazing to, but he did just start shipping, so might take longer.

I miss the old pricing as well, but thanks to rising costs, customs and competition the price was bound to rise.
I think right now folks are more willing to just go without unless they see sideshow giving a good discount. Which I think is the reason we are seeing several events this year with tons more reward codes (even tho we have to play trivia for them).

Since 1994, there has never been a case where a Premium Format Figure did NOT sell out. Will that trend/streak continue? Only time will tell.
But Sideshow is a lot like a casino. The House always wins.
