Statueforum v. Sideshowfreaks on recasts.

Do members treat recasts differently on the two boards?

Is a recast of a garage kit not the same as the recast of a licensed piece?

A thread I just read on the freaks board made me do a double take, but then again maybe I didn't understand it correctly.

Interesting. Few on this board would admit to knowingly purchasing a recast.

there are a lot of garage kits that are recasts of PVC figures, and i mean a lot. Likewise there are numerous rare kits that have been recasted. There isnt too much discussion of it here simply because there isnt too much talk/interest about it in general.

When it comes to Sideshow recasts, its getting harder and harder to tell the fake ones from the genuine article.

Weird that they would show off a recast AND people would admit they want one...

There's an actual policy that states that if you buy a recast, you will be banned?

No but I'm pretty sure I've seen people banned because they admitted to having or buying them.
