No, not worth it. I actually stopped picking up the HCs of these Marvel events following Avengers vs. X-Men. I have them all, starting with Avengers Disassembled, up to this point. I've read them all in serial form and just couldn't bear to pick the HCs up after AvX.

The art alone makes it much better than Age of Ultron. I liked Hickman's work on Fantastic Four and Avengers (a lot actually) so it made sense to me and was an adequate conclusion to both those runs.

Of course if you think Hickman is a hack like many others here do then skip it and don't listen to me.

Yeah, I liked his Avengers and New Avengers a lot too, all of it leading to Secret Wars was a great read.
The art on Secret Wars is the best you could wish for, but the ending?

I like Hickman. So I guess I'll be picking this up after all.

I thought the ending was adequate, not great. There was one thing in particular about the last issue which I found very unbelievable and out of character which I won't spoil here, but other than that, it was okay.

I also didn't care for Cyclops being the first of the 616 universe survivors to be taken out (and quite easily too). It's like he was only there as the token mutant because as we all know, Marvel would rather not promote the X-Men these days.

so cliff notes and questions:
- reed is now god and the FF are at the nexus of the multiverse?
- johnny storm became the sun? the thing perished in a battle with galactus but neither were brought back when the 616 universe was restored?
- every universe BUT the ultimate universe was restored?
- Cyclops died and has stayed dead
- the millions of people that died or ceased to exist with the multiverse are all back now as if nothing has happened?
- daredevil is back in new York with his secret identity?
- spiderman is a multi millionaire?
- ultimate tony stark is THE tony stark now?
- most everything else is the way it was before?

jeezus..... well the art was jaw droppingly beautiful

what gem did black panther use at the end of the book and what exactly did that do?

Johnny Storm is currently in the Inhumans book and Ben Grimm is in Guardians of the Galaxy so I don't know why you say they weren't brought back.

Reed, Franklin and the Molecule Man are in the process of remaking the multiverse so not every universe has been restored.

The Molecule Man using the power of all the Beyonders remade the 616 universe according to Reed's vision (which was to make it all how it used to be) instead of Doom's Battleworld.

I think the Black Panther used the Time Gem to restore Wakanda back to its former glory before the incursions began as the Molecule Man remade the 616 universe.

THANK YOU!!!!

I wish marvel had put something like this at the very end of the book to clear things up. still seems a little funky in some areas but I think that's par for the coarse when you start playing with parallel universes and multiverses. im still confused on the current state of some characters but ill try to clear things up for myself next time im at the comic store

oh and I was asking about johnny and ben because I genuinely didn't know, I don't read either of those titles

knowing all this I think ill go back and reread it, thanks bro

I think to really get/enjoy this event(as well as Infinity) is required to stick since the beginning with Hickman.

I for the most part 'got it' but so many ideas and plots were reduced just to the rivalry Richards/Doom.
