I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

He's got a good agent though. Signed a deal to make original Netflix movies....

He definitely does. Plus he is a producer and has lots of connections in Hollywood. Don't get me wrong, I like some of his stuff, but the majority leaves me scratching my head. I guess, I am getting tired of the same old jokes.

Jupiter Ascending - 6.5/10

Very much a mash up of Star Wars and Dune with some flashes off The Fifth Element thrown in for good measure. The film has some spectacular CGI in the form of expansive alien landscapes and epic space tech. Definitely some of the best looking ever put on film imo. The DNA for a really great space opera is alive in this film and at times it shines through but unfortunately it is interwoven with a somewhat muddled and choppy narrative. Stand out performance for me was Sean Bean. He always brings a certain weightiness to his roles and his role in this film is no exception. I have read reviews from critics and viewers alike saying this film is a incoherent mess. I didn't find that to be the case at all. The film definitely has some issues with the narrative and needed better editing in several places but overall I was pleasantly surprised how entertained I felt as I was leaving the theater. For true scifi fans I recommend a viewing in the theater. If nothing else you will marvel at the spectacular worlds that are created and the very unique space tech and ships that grace the screen on a very grand scale.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Nightcrawler - 9/10

Jake G. was amazing. I'm still floored at how good he was in this. Very much recommended. The co-stars were remarkable as well.

Virunga (2014) - A group of brave individuals risk their lives to save the last of the world's mountain gorillas; in the midst of renewed civil war and a scramble for Congo's natural resources.

European corporations mining Africa's natural resources for profit and destroying habitats in the process. No surprise there. 7/10

Mr. Turner (2014) - An exploration of the last quarter century of the great, if eccentric, British painter J.M.W. Turner's life.

After getting used to the pacing (it was a bit slow even for me), I found it ultimately rewarding. 8/10
