Always nice to see Perez's work.

As odd as this might sound, I typically find that Perez commissions generally look quite different than his published work. It's very rare to see a genuine cover or published quality commission which features that finesse we've all come to know and greatly admire.

Many of the commissions from the last few years are done with marker rather than pen/ink, and aren't intended to be cover quality pieces. He did some cover quality ones maaaaaany moons ago.
Here's an example:

Very nice!

On the look of his work: He had an issue with his eyes that required medical assistance. Maybe that caused a change in his style?

Nice piece.

I think I also read that GP's eyes have caused him difficulties when drawing. His later commissions seem to have a heavier ink line and more solid filled areas than his earlier stuff. While these are still really nice, they lack some of the finer detail than before his eyes deteriorated.
