Yeah, my bad! My photography skills are shocking. It's the back of the neck piece that is the bottom piece when assembled. But Paul has replied to my post and said that it is normal.
Just an update about the damaged base:
My LCS called me to say that Chronicle had been in touch with them and that a new base is being made and will be shipped out to me. I had sent some photo's through to the person that was handling my Anubis order at my LCS and had wondered why I hadn't got a response. But apparently he's on holidays or something, so they were unaware of the issue. In the mean time, Chronicle got a replacement under-way and went out of their way to contact them and let them know that the replacement was in progress. What outstanding customer service!
As an international customer I often worry about buying large expensive pieces like this for the very reason that I worry about being able to get replacements. But this has put my mind at ease. I'm so happy that I have Horus on order, and I'm looking forward to ordering more Chronicle pieces.
I noticed Popcultcha.com.au (Australia) sold out of these last year. They now have a few available IN STOCK again at the moment on their website.
