Marvel Studios has released a new photo from Black Widow offering a new look at the film's villain,
Taskmaster. Known for their "photographic reflexes," the Taskmaster can mimic the fighting styles of
anyone they observe. They may be using that ability in this staredown with Natasha Romanoff.

Looking at that image, i am pretty sure Taskmaster is female.

That is for sure a woman. Since it says “their” is there more than one Taskmaster? Like perhaps she is the offspring or relative of a male version?

I personally don’t see the reason to gender change this character. I would have enjoy watching BE beat the crap outta him as is. It’s in fact probably more “women empowering” to know she can hold her own with a male with that skill set (if that’s the intent of the swap).

Reason isn't a commodity amongst the crowd in charge of entertainment these days. Pushing agenda is their chief virtue, especially at the expense of revenue and social coherence.

That would amount to fighting yourself.
Atleast Black Widow would have the advantage of her weapons.
Not knowing much about Taskmaster, i do not know what weapons the character carries.

'Known for their' - implies a possible army of them.

I just looked on Wiki, and it states Taskmaster is male, his name, Tony Masters
Taskmaster made his debut in The Avengers #195 (May 1980)

The movie might have reason to alter that. Guess we'll have to wait and see. I can't wait

Apparently Taskmaster has a skull face. I read that Marvel changed it into a mask that looks less skull-like to keep the Chinese market happy. Is it possible that this could be a red herring? ..and the mask is supposed to be just that, a mask, an imposter, a copycat? The suit does have a home made look about it. That could an 80's thing?

Taskmaster will make his live-action debut in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film Black Widow (2021).

It all points to Taskmaster being a small man.

May be they made Taskmaster a girl 'cause they wanted to move him away from Deathstroke, you all know Taskmaster is another Deathstroke knock off.

May be Warner was like:

Warner: Disney, if Taskmaster steals the thunder of Deathstroke, i swear, i will ----- in your ass !

Disney: ok ok, chill Warner, we will make Taskmaster a hot babe...
