It certainly would give another display option.

Edit: you're right VS1976, just watched a review of Death's Siren and she's fully painted to display with or without shells.

While I know Sideshow cannot use the name Dejah Thoris, I am surprised Martian Princess doesn’t come up when searching “Dejah Thoris”. I would think they would be able to use the name in metadata searches. This is a website exclusive and with the name change this statue could get lost in all the preorders.

Martian princess is a stupid name for her. They should had been more creative and come up with name to sell this statue.

Should the name on this thread change given the lack of licensing proper?

You probably don't know that the original Edgar Rice Burroughs novel where Dejah Thoris first appeared is called precisely "A Princess of Mars". It is therefore a cunningly appropriate name.

It should be the name of the person not the title of the person that should be on the statue. Every statue made always have the characters name. That’s how it should be marketed. JMHO.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

I rather it be called Martian Princess VS not being created at all.

^ There are already at least 10 thousand people that know about Dejah.

Unless you were kidnap, and somehow missed comic con 2019, you should be aware of this statue.

They’re avoiding legal action from the author’s estate. The first few books are in the public domain, so by changing the name of the statue to Martian Princess, the estate has no legitimate case against them.

I know... I would had just made her part of the original line or something like that and called her Princess ______. It’s better the Martian Princess.
