There's a new Guardians of the Galaxy coming out of the current Annihilation series, set in modern times.

There already are...they're called the Imperial Guard. Seriously, I wish they would get their own book and be handled properly...

I am really looking forward to the new GUARDIANS of the GALAXY book!
The Imperial Guard is more like the Legion of Super Heroes...not so much the Avengers. They do have some potential, and its a shame more of them arent used in the Annihilation series.
