Congratulations! Still a fine piece even after a number of years.
Was the re-release version just a different paint or were there other changes as well?

you mean the AP? It was a different color scheme(a ton of purple) and also a new base, but it just didn't do it for me. IMO you can't beat the original. I was surprised how hard it was to find considering the edition size is 4000. Must be a statue people have a hard time letting go of.

The edition size isn't actually 4,000. There was a story about this Moore told me one time. Even though the base and box say 4,000, the actual edition size is more like around the 1,200-1,500 range.
I don't remember why they didn't produce all of them.

I have the second one but always preferred the color of her skirt on this one. Also like this base more.
Great score Shanesg. Congratulations.

Thanks for sharing that. That's a really interesting fact and also clears up why she was so hard to find. I could never wrap my head around how there was never a single one on eBay but somehow there is 4000 of these floatin' around somewhere.

I too have the 2nd one. It will do for now. I prefer the simple base and her gaze towards the front more of the 1st one. Well congrats on your gem
