Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within film was a project like that, i don't know why nothing else came after. There was also Final Fantasy VII: Advent Child direct to dvd film, i believe.
I liked both. I would like to see a Blizzard's Diablo Film which was made with cinematic computer graphics.
