Not feeling Waltz as a villain. He looks to sleazy and slimey. Like you could flick him off your shoulder like an annoying fly.
Much preferred Bardems more imposing, yet somewhat campy, villainous from Skyfall.
Still, 007 rarely disappointing so its not a killer for me.

Looks great!
My only issue/concern is that I don't like the story device of the villain having some deep unknown connection to the hero. If anyone can pull it off though it's probably this team.
I am beginning to see them adding in some of the more "classic" elements this time around, which was hinted at in the last scene of Skyfall. There's SPECTRE of course, maybe Blofeld, there's Dave Bautista's henchman ala Grant/Oddjob, Q is ramping up the Aston Martin with new gadgets. Let's see if they can continue to keep the series a bit more grounded in reality as they've been doing, or are they going back to their roots with a bit more of a fantasy feel, maybe somewhere in the middle would be great.
Either way I'm in, love the bond series!

I actually think Waltz could be the best modern-Bond villain to this point. He's extremely European, which I think always makes for a better Bond baddie + he's just an incredible actor, i.m.o.. His scene in Inglorious where he was smoking & serving whipped cream on the heroine's crepe's in that café, was one of the most interesting & hypnotizing evil-guy' scenes I've ever seen. I was squirming during that scene. If he brings half of that to this new Bond, we may really have something. Just wish they wouldn't take as long between films. Momentum has been lost with Craig for me. He'll be an "old-Bond" soon.

I"ve been worried Skyfall would be an extremely tough act to follow and it is, but man I think they still have the touch.
Good to hear some classic Bond score woven into that trailer not heard in ages.

Damn! Looks great. Loving the tone of the film. Looks like Mendes is going to hit another HR with this Bond. Can't wait.
