Repainted by Shane Foulkes. Not my bust, but I highly recommend him since he is doing some work on one of my pieces and I can tell I'm very satisfied

Looks fantastic but I'm not sold on the choice of the mustard colour he used...otherwise a great repaint,no doubt.

A good shot of the maquette for reference

I prefer myself a bit darker patterns, but here goes the original one.

Yeah but the shipping back and forth plus the repaint will be almost the price of the bust.

Unboxed #75 yesterday, and i can finally say i have a true, original Jurassic Park T-rex.

The box is incredible, and the piece itself is huge (as long as you keep her away from the raptor bust) and better painted than what most pics lead to believe since there's more shades of brown in person, the finish is pretty much spot on, and most of the black patterns reflect those on the Perot which, with the exception of the snout, are pretty accurate to the CG model.
I've waited all my life to paint something like this but, like with the Breakout, i like the piece enough to want to enjoy the original version for a while. Already spent like four hours on this head though, carefully removing with a tweezer every paintbrush hair trapped in the layers of paint between the smaller scales and wrinkles, and this really helped me to realize just how good this sculpt truly is.
Although i think Chronicle could still improve a bit in the seam department, overall level of detail on this T-rex head is OUTSTANDING.

Again, thanks to Chronicle and Jonathan for this long-awaited addition to my collection.
And i think i'll order the stand too.. soon or later.
