My 'Hera' arrived this lunchtime.
Initial reaction is 'Wow. Wow, wow'.
Really superb.
I was not expecting the magnetic connections for the arms, but they seem a good compromise. The modelling was approved by my hyper critical classical scholar younger daughter. However, she does feel the statue is lacking somewhat in the clothes field. I cannot say I agree.
Thanks Wei for such a beautiful model.
Regards,
Richard

I canceled my pre-order because I decided to wait for in hand photos. Looks like I had nothing to worry about because she turned out beautifully.
I'm going to have pick her up soon. I think I'm on board for this line now.

Thanks Richard. Yeah, the magnetic arms works well. Makes for better and safer packaging. And it looks much cleaner at the seams too since they're separated.
As for more clothes, the Web version will come with an additional dress that is longer. Though I have not seen the paint master for that from the factory yet.

Yeah, the longer dress will give it a more classical look. But I like the legs in view more=).

I was hoping for this longer dress. Will it be something like your drawings, if so I want.....
What is "the web version"?

Yes, it's even longer than that.
The Web version is just an alternative version of the statue. It has a much lower edition number. For Hera, I believe it's limited to 100 for the Web version (not confirmed). The regular version has an edition number of 800.

Hmm, actually, I'm surprised you have this rough sketch I did on Hera. I don't remember posting that image out anywhere. Must have been Yamato=).

Hmm.
I like that. Might have gone for it instead of the regular. However, as my pot of money only recovers slowly & there is an Aphrodite, and possibly a 'Uranos Drops' from Yamato, then I shall have to protect it from further depredations.
On further consideration, I may be a little less inarticulate about Hera.
The model is superb. The painting of the face and eyes in particular is superb. Her head looks a little small, and bust a little big, but apart from these personal preferences over items that are well within the natural range, there is absolutely nothing I'd change. She is superb.
My only gripe is more to do with my display cabinet - the shelf above is 1/2" too low to put her in it alongside 'Ritual', 'Sacrifice' and 'TOI'. I will have to see what I can do elsewhere so she doesn't get dusty - currently she's on the mantelpiece above the fireplace in our bedroom.
Regards,
Richard
