I love the Omnibus books - I have Hulk, Wolverine and Silver Surfer.
What I don't get it why the Secret Wars Omnibus is $99.99 - it's so skinny compared to the Hulk and Spiderman ones - yet it's the same price? How and why is that?

I'm right there with you guys on Brubaker's Cap. I couldn't put it down once I started it. I need to put Vol 2 and Vol 3 in my next Amazon order.

Have 'em along w/ the complete original run. I'm slowly starting to gravitate towards trades 'cause I'm sick of pulling long boxes and tape & mylar bags. I'd just really love to see a ful-color omnibus treatment of ole' Wolfy. Thanks for the tip anyway. I appreciate it.

I have followed Cap ever since I read that Omnibus. Luckily, my wife bought me all the single issues that followed it, right up to the current one of that time. I've been buying the HC trades, but have contemplated trading them in for the Omnibi. I may do that, just to have Brubaker's entire run in the same format.

I actually had Brubaker sign my copy at Wondercon two years ago. Carried it all the way to San Francisco, thank God it isn't one of the heavier ones!

Has anyone ever received a perfect one? It seems like every time I get one it either has a bent corner of something weird with the binding. I just got the Simonson Thor Omnibus and one of the corners is bent and about the 1st 20 or so pages appear wrinkled.

Bummer! All of mine have arrived in perfect shape. Except for the Cap one, all have been purchased from Amazon.

Anyone know if any of the upcoming omnibuses (or is it omnibi) are getting the color retreatments like the latest Thor one?

Really? I ordered the 1st Amazing Spider Omnibus from Amazon and all the copies they sent me were beat to hell. They eventually just refunded my money and told me that all the copies they received were defective.

I'm pretty sure most of the classic stories, from the 60's-80's are being "remastered", but don't hold me to it.
