That too. Just does not suit DC/Marvel animation.

Selma 8/10. Excellent historical bio of Martin Luther King Jr and the struggle for equal rights among the black population in the US.

Boyhood - 6/10
Wow, a lot has been made of this film. On the one hand this is a unique achievement by Richard Linklater, his accomplishment and dedication should be noted and even praised. Filming something that spans an actual 12 years using the same actors as they age naturally is truly a unique accomplishment. On the other hand the narrative plods along for nearly 3hrs. with what amounts to some rather mundane human interactions. Unfortunately the film just lacks the drama I was expecting in this type of film and as such was only a slightly above average experience for me. No way would this make my 10 best list for 2014 like it has with so many others.

yeah... sounds like a bust. all the new movies designed after the new52 haven't been as good as the older ones (im not a new52 hater by any means btw). i thought batman and son was pretty decent though (pre new52 story done in new52 style). i don't think bruce timm has been apart of them either

I am in the same boat, though I really didn't like Batman and Son. The only one I have liked post Flashpoint has been Assault on Arkham. That one is one of the better DC films period and an awesome appetizer for Suicide Squad. 8/10

The Theory of Everything
The beginning is good when the focus is on Hawking's thesis and initial battle with the disease. It drags on when the focus shifts to and remains on his marriage.
