Same, 8.5 out of ten for me. Really enjoyed it much more than I expected to.

Red Notice - 8.5/10
Fun film for the entire family. Very Disneyesque. Reynolds steals the show.

Point Break (1991) - Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze star a mix of Surf and Bank Hoist action flick. While dated now it was still enjoyable revisiting this one. 6.5/10
Hollywood Confidential (1997) - brilliant gangster movie series set in the 1950’s Hollywood, the early obsession with scandal and corruption in the Hollywood police force. Great cast and brilliantly acted. 8/10
The Eternals (2021) - my least enjoyable MCU movie. None of the characters or actors held my interest, they all seemed like “c” level characters and just not interesting enough to care about. I loved Nomads but the direction on this one did not work for me and the acting was wooden all around. 5.5/10

Shang-Chi & The Legend Of The Ten Rings - 2/10.
Out of all the MCU movies, this is the farthest from the comics it is based on. This was not Shang-Chi. It felt like a Disney-fest from beginning to end. I can't believe anyone involved with this film ever read a Shang-Chi comic in their lives.

Red Notice 5/10
Extremely predictable and Ryan Reynolds was too “Ryan Reynolds” for me. Not bad, but not good.

If you go into this film knowing it is very G-rated family fun (i.e., no killing, no profanity, no sex scenes), you're more likely to enjoy it. I think some people were expecting something a bit more mature and Reservoir Dogs-ish. It's just not that kind of heist film. It's not a film that takes itself seriously.
