I miss the Sideshow days when Predator maquettes had long faces, armour in the wrong place and dreads sticking out horizontally. I can't take the stress now with a pupil being a few mm out of place on an near perfect statue/bust

I kid, I do agree that it'd look better raised up very slightly. I'm sure they'll do so if it's mentioned on their FB.

The left eye is fully there/visible. And they gave the right eye only very small slice. Bcs they wanted to recreate the squinted eye (when he examinus spike trap, bcs everyone wanted that). But when you do that, his eyebrow+cheek should be squinted too.
Now we get full eyesocket with 25_30% lower portion eyeball and no pupil ?!

If they even going to add a pupil to it, whole eye would be one black socket (pirate patch lol)..
Does not make sense or add anything, compared to two normal eyes.
Closed mandables and head tilt would be enough.

Edit:
Straight out of NxtLv3 Showcase vid.
A few adjustments in PS

I’m hoping for that change Jungle Demon, but we will see. Thanks for the PS look. I hope they can nail the subtle gloss work. It really makes the creature look more alive and real compared to other Predator statues out there.

Hello guys,

Maybe I´m wrong, but in my opinion this face depicts the one Predator has just after taking his mask off, seconds before starting to fight with Duth. I clarify this because I read in some messages in this or in the other 1:3 predator statue thread that this face is the one Predator has when he/it is examinating Dutch´s trap and it´s not correct.

Having said that, I searched on the internet and found a really clarifying image from that frame, in which the pupil of his right eye (left one if we see the bust) it´s hardly noticeable, and in any case it would be hardly showed in the upper part of the eye ball, not in the lower one.

In that case, if P1 is trying to replicate that exact frame, maybe we can´t see the pupil due to the angle of the photo, and it is hiden under the "eyebrow" cast shadow.

Hey Gallowglass99, i think the closed mouth head sculpt is based more on the scene where the Predator is inspecting Dutch's trap, as his right eye is closed up more in that scene in the movie, rather than the look the Predator had when he first removes his bio mask, as seen in these 2 pics.....

I am thinking is it possible that the classic masked head will have a different angle than the unmasked head (closed mouth)? On the busts it looks like they are looking at different directions. Cannot wait for my 1/3 statue. I hope the paint will turn out very good. This deserves it.

The closed mouth is based on when the pred is staring at Dutch before the trap and just before the log scene.
