Just noticed a lot of recent pics have the wiring incorrectly inserted into the right hand. Understandable at a con, but the XM site pics are wrong too. Not a big deal as it appears to be flexible and easily changed.

If he was lifting it to put into the back of a truck, maybe it works as is... but not to throw.

Colossus - Growing up on his parents' farm, Piotr Rasputin saw his older brother Mikhail become a Cosmonaut. Looking at this again, I really appreciate that XM went the extra mile and created a story with this piece. It works well as a stand alone statue or in a group with the other Xmen.

This could be my favorite Xmen piece in the XM lineup.

I have two spots left on my shelf for X-Men characters and I've been going back and forth with this one... I've looked at SS offering but something about it just doesn't work for me, maybe it's a bit too animated looking... Although it is $300 cheaper... I think XM's version just looks a bit more realistic and will go better with SS Wolverine and X-23...

Ugh, decisions... decisions...

EDIT: Blah I decided to pull the trigger on XM's version over at SpecFiction, with the pre-order window already closed I didn't want to take a chance that SpecFiction would sell out....

Can’t go wrong either way there. If the XM version had longer lower legs and a stoic face then I would have gone with the XM version myself.

I love the XM-Statues but in this case i prever the Sideshow Colossus. I find his facial expression and posture more expressive
But i think XM-Colossus had the better paint job and base

Sideshow needed to do better with metal skin paint . Looks flat and unrealistic

I was in the same boat and ended up going with the SS one. Reason being I didn’t like how lines on his steel didn’t line up on the XM one. It almost looks like each muscle is it’s own segment vs. the SS one where those lines link up all the way through. Just me though. Def like the pose of the XM one better

I think when you see these two next to each other the XM will really stand out. The SS is pretty generic IMO.
