ALIEN: Covenant - 8/10
A good follow up to a film I loved in Prometheus. Some very interesting twists on the ALIEN mythos. My only knock would be I'd have liked a bit more originality in the new characters and scenario surrounding their involvement with the Xenomorph. Loved the look and feel of the film. Some great tension and gore take it back to it's roots. Overall a middle of the road entry when comapred to the franchise as a whole. Lots of potential going forward.

I 100% concur with your scores. Mohicans and Heat are masterpieces of cinema. Both fall into my personal top 10 favorite films. Collateral is a brilliant piece of work too. I'm sure many will disagree but I think it's Tom Cruise's best work.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I agree, Cruise is excellent in this.
I'd only rate collateral a little higher based on the excellent musical score and sound design.
It sounds nerdy, but this is one of the films that surround sound was built for. The scene in the club is like being in the middle of a firefight.

Totally agree, this movie definitely caught you with its songs and score, hell, it starts cool and relaxed with Groove Armada's Hands Of Time and then that explosive Tom Rothrock's Rollin' Crumblin.....and goes on and on.
