Probably a wise decision. 
I, for one, wouldn't mind seeing the whole Film/TV review section abolished here. It seems to be a lightning rod for controversy among many here who refuse to separate entertainment from political ideologies and warp it into a personal soapbox. Wouldn't miss it a bit, honestly.

I would say the film/tv review threads are mostly just that, reviews. They do get heated every now and then but I do enjoy the opinions of the majority of the posts.

Dearest Augen and Grphyx1, do either of you have access to Gothamite outside of this forum? I didn’t communicate with Gothamite every day but Gothy was quite nice and informative and we shared private messages often enough. I check out Gothamite’s posts before I visit SideShow or BigBadToyStore.
