Got some aweful news recently
First, yesterday, I heard that a friend, Charles, from work that was on vacation had to rush home for a medical emergency with his children.
His youngest two boys are up at the Portland childrens hospital with Meningitis.
Second, last night I was told one of our nieces will need another operation. Olivia, McKenzie's (Spider-Girl) sister with need a heart transplant when she reaches her early teens. And still may not live to 20. She has had 3 open heart surgeries since the day she was born. She's in great health, so hopefully they're wrong.
Then today, I heard that Charles' 3 year old kidneys failed yesterday. Later, that he has only a 20% chance. What makes this worse, that Charles lost a daughter about 10 years ago.
Just feeling bummed about all of this, and thought I'd feel better sharing. Don't think I can handle any more news like this.

Thank you.
I can't imagine what Charles is going through and has gone through.
He, and the mother of his youngest, just turned 1, where in the Bahamas when they got the news. The airlines wouldn't honor their tickets for an earlier flight. I guess the National Guard picked them up and got them to Florida, and then they had to take several flights to get to Oregon.

Thanks everyone.
Dornbeckers Children's Hospital in Portland is fantastic. They've helped many of my friends and family members with their children's medical issues.
My brother's baby girl was just up there a couple of months ago with a kidney issue. Everything went well for her.
