having a problem with ebay transaction

the person said the statue was damaged when they got it

its the HH daredevil ap
they said the top of the pin was broken off in the whole
which is bs because it was fine when i sent it
i advised them to try to take it out and it wasnt the way i sent it...theyre in france
so they will have to ship it back to me and lose out on customs if they want a refund....do i have any defense against this claim?

Couldn't the break have occurred in shipping? I could also say the buyer broke the GA statue when he took it out of the box but without any proof it's pretty much going in favor of the buyer. Anyways, I'll always insure more valuable statues just to protect myself.
