The Official Godzilla spoiler thread

Well first of all, it is kind of hard I guess to make a good movie out of the Godzilla concept. I did have some great expectasions of this Movie but I'm sorry to say that the movie did not deliver.

The overall story did feel kind of silly, here is a short summary. Diggings in a cave results in the findings of a very old fossil with 2 parrasites atttached to it.

One of the parrasite escapes and heads to the nearest nuclear plant to feed and grow. The nuclear plant happens to be the one were Bryan Cranstons character (Joe Brody) works at together with his wife. The wife dies and everyting is closed down and the whole roffus is blamed on an earthquake.

15 years later Joe is still looking for answers and brakes back in to the powerplant together with his son Ford Brody (Aaron Tylor Johnson) This happens to be the same night were the parrasite feels he has grown enough and determens to wake up and starts f-ing things up.

Then the other parrasite that was left behind 15 years ago also wake up and we are told that they are going to meet up somewere and mate and have a toon of small parassite babies.. This is a big no no and the army try to blow up the MUTO:s with the help of nukes....

So in the middle of all this Godzilla turns up and kicks the living ----niz of the 2 MUtO:s.... Godzilla is explained as some sort of Natural Balance, that is all that he does... This is my biggest concern of the movie.. Godzilla shows up to balance nature... He was dorment ( God knows were) waiting for the MUTO:s to apper and beat them up..... Balance for what? save humanity?.. if anything Godzilla should have turn up and finnish of humanity ages ago....

Will not give you more spoilers but let you see the movie and then we will discuss it more..

Some things that I liked

The CGI
Size of Godzilla
Screams of Godzilla
Godzillas Finishing Moves

Some things that I did not like
Plot holes with the whole story
To little Godzilla time
The sound during the battles
The purpose of Godzilla
All Godzilla Batles were at night
Godzilla was sometimes like a big puppy..

Overall I give the movie a 3/5 thanks to the Godzilla scenes.

What is your inputs? please talk among yourselves...

well El Pulento, reason why Godzilla showed up as the keeper of the natural balance and kicked the sh!t out of the other two monsters. was because this was how Godzilla was depicted in many films throughout his career. thats what Godzilla is. the defender of earth. although in the beginning and some other films he was depicted as a destructive monster out to punish man for all the wrong he had been doing to earth.
so what they are doing is what has been done in many films of Godzilla throughout the years. so it all really fits in with what Godzilla is all about.

i haven't seen the film yet. but from what your describing it sounds just like classic Godzilla to me.
