Yes Polystone does contain stone additives, but it's still mostly a ploymer plastic, like you said, hence the name.

And yes, figure, body, of a person or animal 3d or 2d, like Figure drawing.

Except the definitions are in the dictionary. So it is correct.

Yes, the stone additives give it the stone texture and weight.

Ultimately, you vote with your wallet. I have the SSC PF Kylo Ren, ANH Leia and ROTJ Vader. The mixed media and heavy use of PVC makes them seem like glorified dolls and I won't be buying anymore from SSC's Star Wars line.

Depends on where you shop. PVC figures are always classified as "figures" by BBTS even when there's no articulation. I think the whole hand-waving that everything is technically "plastic," whether PVC/resin/polystone, is kind of like saying there's no differentiation between particleboard and rosewood for furniture.

Curious? Must be a page missing in my dictionary... I'll just submit this for you:

"Statues are only made of the manliest, heavy polystone materials. No sissy can lift them. If he can, they're obviously made of PVC (and although it's just a different form of plastic), there's NO WAY one should consider them statues (even though they're similarly painted and assembled from pieces, not cast or carved like true statues). NUFF SAID"

I'm waiting to hear back from Merriam-Webster.

Now I see the problem. Carry on.

One of the more ridiculous false statements of "fact" I've read recently...

That's 'cold porcelain'. A different term and not what XM are referring to. XM use comparable materials to the rest of the industry - resin and stone dust. In XMs case, they're using porcelain dust. Their marketing is trying to capitalize on the more luxury connotation of "porcelain"

Zen! don't mean now, I said I "think" PVC is not considered a statue. Be nice! You're also on a time out now....
