Shutter Island trailer
From Oscar®-winning director Martin Scorsese, “Shutter Island” is the story of two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo), who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the coast of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island’s fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane.

Spent a good part of last year working on it... Near 100% positive it WILL be good... Another Scorcese Academy contender IMO...

I've really been looking forward to this one. Pretty damn impressive cast too - DiCaprio, Ben Kingsley, Jackie Earl Haley, Mark Ruffalo, Max von Sydow, Elias Koteas, Ted Levine, Patricia Clarkson et al...
Looks like Scorsese is channelling Kubrick's Shining in a way, which is no bad thing.

I caught a sneak peek on Thursday and I LOVED the first 30 minutes, after that it dragged, dragged some more, got good, dragged again and then the ending was okay, even though almost everyone that I know guessed the ending by just watching the trailer.

shutter island 6.5/10 for effeort
has the makings of an amazing movie
but in the eend feel jumbled and muddy
I assume the real version is 3 hours and they realised
its not good enough for the length
and thats wat caused a huge delay
it goes, is it gonna end this way? or that way?
back and fourth till youre head explodes and doesnt care anymore (thats if u havent figured it out by now)
Sountrack was horrible wannabe 1980s style soundtrack that just doesnt work
Jackie Earle Haley was the best part of the movie, there are areas within the film where you beleive something that are really good and then thats about it
I think if they stuck it more of a simplified direction
with only a twist or two in the end it would have been better
i also believe the 3hour version is much better to the hardcore moviesgoers, however it wouldnt make nearly as many numbers if it was
