John Byrne Doing X-Men Again!
Sort of... over on his forum, he's been trying to, more or less, get his groove back, so he started a thread with some pencil practice and it turned into a bit more...

It's been fun seeing him come up with these pages over the last few weeks. These are the X-Men like they should be, IMO! It would be nice if JB and Marvel could work something out, and do a kind of "elsewhen" series or something. I'd buy it, and I don't buy comics anymore.
Here's a thread with just the penciled pages for those of you who don't want to read through the other stuff...

Enjoy!

It could be X-Men: The Hidden Years 2, hah.
That was a fun title that was canceled way too early.
Those pencils look great to me, thanks for the link.

I agree about the Hidden Years getting cancelled to early.
Sad thing was that X-Men-The Hidden Years was selling better than some of the other X-titles being published at that time

I finally got around to ready X:HY a few weeks ago. Got the (virtual) TPB's on Amazon for 99 cents each when they had a sale not too long ago. They were great!
Back when the series first came out I bought the first issue, but right after that I got out of buying comics regularly, so I never bought any more. Now I know I really missed out on a good run at the time.

Yes. He's lettered some of the pages, but I think you have to wade through the original thread to find them.

I was hoping John Bryne would do a comic solely on Box of Alpha Flight
