Scotch

Way too much talk here about Imus, post count nonsense, and current horrors in the news.

Anybody here like Scotch? My lovely wife bought me a bottle of this for this past Xmas...

... long been deceased but I did procure another gem for my liqour cabinet.

Good lord but is this some smooth poison. Best I have ever had. So anybody out there know their hard stuff? I'd be really curious to hear from an afficianado if there is something better. I'm no expert, but I know what I like, so if there is a smoother more velvety experience in Scotch, I want to know.

Take it neat. Ice, soda or water will just spoil it.

Glenfiddich is a nice whiskey for sure. Have you tried any Irish whiskeys W?

I haven't. What's the best? Not the second best, the bestest best.

I'm definitely a Scotch man although I go back and forth between rocks and neat. One of my faves, at least in the under $30 price range, is a lowland single malt; Auchentoshan. Very mellow, if you like it smooth you might enjoy it. Lismore is pretty good and pretty affordable at under $20...
