13" Golden Age Flash Collector Figure... whose idea was THIS??

At least, if they're moving in this direction, they might do a Dr. Fate...

But how many collectors really wanted an $84.95 doll of a 1940s high-speed superhero with a hubcap on his head?

Anyone want to throw away the hubcap, add some green hair, and have him fight the Hulk?

Wayne Foundation
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I hope DCD doesn't lose so much money on this one that they cancel the line.

Apparently, standard-sized Flash action figures usually sell pretty well, but IMO, a 13", $85 figure of Garrick is completist-only material.

Why not Kid Flash?

A few more ideas, in addition to Dr. Fate...

• Wonder Woman (a no-brainer)

• The Atom

• a Flash set like the GL combo DCD just released: heads and costumes for Reverse-Flash and for the Wally West version of the Flash

• Black Adam

• Hawkman - maybe the wings would make it too expensive... but I'm betting a lot more people would be tempted by a $99.95 13" Hawkman than an $84.85 Jay Garrick...

And for all three people who bought one of the latter, they could include Carter's Golden Age Hawkman helmet, too.

always been a fan of Garrick, this might be the first DC 13" I buy.

JSA is doing really well and a lot of interest may be there for the character. Don't sell it short.

Hell, I'm still waiting for the JLA Trophy Room to do his helmet in full size. Could swear I saw that with their original solicitations for the line.

OK, I can respect that...

I know that what looks cool to one fan won't do it for another (after all, I have about 200 models and vinyl figures of monsters from Godzilla movies.)

So all I can say is, I hope you get the helmet you want.

That, and a line from Hercules that I can't resist passing along... something he once said to Thor about the winged helmet the Odinson usually wears.

THOR: "'Twas a gift from Odin, from the All-Father himself... sayest thee that I should not keep it?"

HERCULES: "Keep it, yea... but keep it in a dark place!"

Sorry... Sounds like I've earned a snarky remark about Japanese rubber dinosaurs...
