Which brings me to my main gripe...
Why exactly does Koto choose to ignore MCU statues? We saw them ignore Ragnarok last year when literally every other company, big and small, came out with Gladiator Hulk, a gold mine. They haven't done a Guardians line. They haven't done an Avengers line. And just when I thought they'd make up for it with an Infinity Wars line, they decide to do 20% of what they should. What gives?
Do they have bad blood with Marvel?

I really don’t understand their character choice process either. The DC ArtFX+ line is a mixed group. We have Grogg and Black Manta but no Darkseid? Also, their Marvel villains are not good. While I love the Magneto, Carnage and Venom, that’s it. The new 90’s XMen animated line is a cool idea but they just look cheap. It’s not Kotobukiya’s fault, they actually captured the look perfectly. Why not do a villains line? Sinister Six maybe? Cosmic character line?

Yeah I can't wrap my head around the lack of MCU statues. We only got 2 from Age of Ultron and 2 from Civil War. Nothing from Guardians, Ragnarok, etc. I would love to add some movie pieces especially seeing what other companies are doing. I think Koto would compete very well with a sizable Infinity War roster at a price point lower than what others are doing. There's no way I'll dive in with only 4 or 5 characters.

Are they waiting until Sdcc??
I would love if they did a museum set like they did for Justice League.
Koto is dragging their feet...

I still wish for a Dr. Strange and Iron Spider though. Hope this statue didn't take their spot.

Do we know if there is any reasoning behind which characters they are choosing to do?

Gamora is up for pre-order and its priced at $100. I might get that they possibly pay more license fees for movie figures but that is too much. These Kotobukiya prices are really getting out of control. Diamond Select offers PVC statues as well and they are priced at $45-50 whereas Koto asks for the double.
I will keep staying away from MCU products as much as possible in my collection anyway. The only one from IW that would interest me is Iron Spider, I like the suit but I decided to go for an articulated figure instead, the Mafex one from next year and if I had wanted a statue I’d choose DS Iron Spider for $45.

Agreed. $100 is tyranny.
I can condone it for Thanos, seeing he's supposed to be considerably bigger. But if they're planning to price all of the IW statues at $100, I'm out.
I'll either move to DST or wait for a deep discount.
