I'm confused . . . maybe this is a dumb question of me to ask, but what is this recast you're talking about? And, why is it bad? Sorry, not disputing anything, just unsure of what this all means.

They recast statues, illegally. They take statues like the Turner Supergirl, make molds and cast them into resin kits.

This allows people to buy the statue at a lot lower price (although not as good quality most times) and may end up devaluing the original statue that people spent a lot of time, effort and money trying to acquire the proper way.
