LOL, I have a ton of MM statues that have been moved, multiple times, back and forth overseas. I have NEVER had an issue with 'shifting of material'. I can assure you that is not why the seem is not on the side on some. Frankly I wish they would do more MM statues.

Well, I got mine in and I'm very happy with it. Here's an image with some of the Aurora model reissues I've built:

As noted in other posts, the seam seems (!) to be in top of the right leg, and the belt is twisted around, but I'm OK with it.

The box on this is great, with the telephone booth shown at all angles; it's a shame not to be displaying it as well.

Hair details

I don't know if this has been shown before; it's nice to see some blue highlighting on the "Superman" portrait hair:

It takes me back to the comic book use of blue to highlight his dark hair.

As a kit builder, we learn to uses washs and drybrush to bring out hair details; too often, the statue's paint jobs don't do a great job here, especially on dark hair. Some of the poorer paint jobs seems to just paint one color and let it go at that. It's nice to see a little care and attention paid to it here.

I wouldn't be surprised. With all the discounts recently and this is just an awesome piece. If you're a Sup fan, this is a must. Such iconic pose.

There's a slight disadvantage to owning this statue along with a Samoyed dog (and her long white hair that sheds) - the same dog fur that attaches to my dark clothes happily bonds with the fabric suit of this statue.

I think I need a teeny-tiny lint brush -).
