There?s not much of a difference between those two models. Here?s a link to a site I like to use when researching TVs. They compared the C1 vs C2 in the first link and the second link is their highly rated OLEDs.

I own both LG and Sony OLEDs. You can?t go wrong with either. If price wasn?t a concern, I?d recommend a Sony OLED. However, given your upgrading from a fairly older TV, either brand will be a noticeable upgrade.

If you?re set on LG, I?d recommend the C2 over the C1 for the better colors and smart features.

in Dec of 2018, my Sony died and I got an LG and have been very happy with it (not sure what model it is-I just know it is a smart 45 inch screen tv)

I will say though when I got it I purchased it at Costco and at the time I purchased it with a two year manufacturer warranty. I am not sure if Costco still does this but they gave me a 3rd year warranty for free. I do not know if Costco still does that with the warranty but I was happy with that (I did not need to use the warranty fortunately).

The C2 is only $100 more on Woot..it’s an Amazon company. They run deals every week. And Prime free shipping works as well.
On sale for 3 days, or it sells out.

Pretty much every manufacturer gets their OLED panels from LG... including Sony and Samsung.

Image processing and features vary by manufacturer though.

Order placed for the C2! I decided to go through Costco. They add on 3 years to the warranty, have free text support, and I can return it within 90 days for any reason. Paid the extra $30 to have them unbox it, position it wherever I like, and take away all of the packaging.

It's coming a week from today and I'm very excited!

Thanks for the advice, guys!

They now add 3 years to the warranty? Wow! How long of a warranty did it have before the additional 3 years was added?

As I said before. I would keep the side pieces they use to actually pick up the tv. These TVs are super thin and pliable. You will need those two styrofoam side pieces if you ever move the tv.

As for a soundbar I love my LG SP8YA. It?s 3.1 and has 440 watts. You may want more speakers but the sound is incredible. You can fine tune the settings on the app and tie it into Alexa. It has Atmos. Plus the sound will work with the TV remote.

I went with a Sonos soundbar..I purchased the Beam..great soundbar. There is also alot of options to make it into something even bigger down the line.
The Arc is the newest one..and much larger than the Beam.
Costco also sells them.

Two years, so a total of 5.
