Gecco - Quiet & Venom Snake Play Demo Version 1/6 scale

A couple of shots of Quiet & Venom Snake, taken while i was taking shot's of Elektra PF
I happened to place the two temporarily in front of Elektra, and spotted a shadow over Quiet's
left eye, which caught my attention.

Sideshow - Poison Ivy EX PF

Sideshow - Poison Ivy EX PF arrived today. Poison Ivy turned out good!
No fitting together issues. Other than some tiny nit picks, the piece appears to have turned
out close to the prototype.

On the subject of Poison Ivy’s shade of green, it’s not 100% green like the prototype, neither is
it pea-green (yellow green) like the piece appeared to look in a recent video that surfaced on
YouTube. I like the shade of green used.

Given the amount of Ivy trails required to be paint, for the most part, the paint job is pretty tight.
The thing I like about this piece, is other than the removable head, the statue is one piece, which
is something I like. Fewer pieces to assemble means less seams, less magnets, which can only be
a good thing.

Poison Ivy’s red’ish orange hair works well, and there’s no sign of resin granules, which is always
a bonus. Poison Ivy’s hands turn out good, well painted, well sculpted. Thought I’d mention that.

The base works well. All that is required is for the 3 sections of plant to be inserted into the
main base section. Paint app and colours look good.

Nitpicks: Nothing major.
The green plant tentacles that wrap around Ivy’s feet have some rough area’s where they join
Ivy’s feet. The issue isn’t enough to return the piece or complain to SSC CS.

oh, ok then.. it means digging the box out..

I've not been a fan of the EX from the start. The production piece fails to alter my opinion.
The teeth are done well, as is the rest of the paint app. If the eye's were looking in the same
direction, atleast i could display it from time to time. The EX portrait looks a bit of a monster

I've been in touch with Sideshow about the iffy left eye. I'll see what they say?

Thanks man, appreciated. Yeah, it would’ve been much better if they had gotten that eye placement correct. But fortunately, I’ve always planned on displaying the regular head which looks great.

Congrats on Ivy! Thank you for taking the time to share pictures. They did a good job painting it, all the vines had to take time. I have to agree the regular looks better than the EX portrait. I made myself choose between this and XMs Ivy. Each has its own style to it.

No problem. They did do a good job painting Poison Ivy.
I had to Google XM's Ivy (oh, that one). I like XM's Ivy, but there is something about it that fails to fit the Superhero vibe. It's an amazing piece all the same. I remember when XM first revealed it, and i thought at the time, wow so much detail.
