Interesting. Well, for my tastes there can never be too many Magneto statues, so I'm pretty excited.

Completely agree. I'm not sure how often Studio Hive is involved in the concepts, but the ones I know of (such as for the Japanese Batman line) were great to the point of perhaps being overambitious. I was lukewarm towards the "final" render for Joker, but the concept had me shaking out my piggy bank.

I know just how you feel. It's actually incredibly disappointing to see such an amazing art concept and to get all excited about it, only to see the sculpted piece and be let down in such a big way.

Isn't it the Marvel Now costume? So last 5 years? I couldn't tell you what costume he is in today as I stopped reading the books about a year ago for the first time in 35 years, as they were basically garbage, but pretty sure that's where the white costume came from.

I think this is one of the reasons why XM has stopped showing concepts. Mainly because the final 3D render is usually different from the original concept.
My other couple guesses is they want to keep their concepts closer to their chest so to speak, and also, it may have been requested by Marvel / Disney to refrain from showing WIP until the character is relatively completed and a viable 3D render can be shown...much like Storm.

I stopped reading comics at the end of the 1990's. Price increase was the main culprit....space was the second reason.
