Wow! What the hell happened here? As a fan of the Bourne franchise I felt insulted by this entry. This film literally adds nothing to the overall arc. Totally forgettable on every level. Even the action scenes don't hold a candle to the four films that preceded this. Say what you will about The Bourne Legacy but at least that film brought something original to the table and opened the door to expand the franchise in an interesting direction. Bringing back the main star and original director doesn't equal a quality product in and of itself. You still need an interesting narrative. Without it, this amounts to one of the more agregious cash grabs in recent memory.

I, sadly, have to agree. The Bourne franchise has been one of my favorites and this was easily one of the movies I was looking forward to the most. I left the theater so disappointed and questioning what happened as well. No real memorable action scenes and the story seemed so lazy. Out and out the biggest bummer is the summer.

X-Men Apocalype 6/10 Okay I really liked First Class and even the last X-Men movie but this was just a mess. Bad story, bad special effects, just not a good movie at all. Even my wife, who likes most movies, didn't enjoy this one.

Trolls (2016) - After the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy, the happiest Troll ever born, and the curmudgeonly Branch set off on a journey to rescue her friends.

My blood sugar rose to dangerous levels after watching this sickeningly sweet concoction. 3/10

I had a bad feeling about this one the moment I saw the trailer. Unfortunate that it seems my suspicions were correct.

The Salesman (2016) - Forushande (The Salesman) is the story of a couple whose relationship begins to turn sour during their performance of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman.

Near excellent like every other film I've seen directed by Asghar Farhadi. 9/10

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

The Shallows - 6/10

Pretty straight forward material here and not terribly original as there have been countless films about shark attacks and what it takes to survive at sea. That said the acting is solid, cinematography is attractive and the intensity of the situation keeps you engaged. Overall a slightly above average suspense thriller that's worth a look.

Suicide Squad (2016)

What a mess--one of the worst superhero movies I've seen in a long time. 3/10

John Wick 2 9/10 I think I liked it better than the first one. Just a wild, action packed fun movie, hoping there is a 3rd.
